@osa Speaking of overthinking things... we just want to make sure he's old enough to have the capability to have long-term recall for the trip. It's a vacation, not a social experiment. I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that we're trying to control his memory.

@what Oh, we take my son fun places constantly. However, Disney is a bit more expensive (both in money and time off from work) than a weekend trip to the National Aquarium and Natural History museums, or the zoo, or the fair, or the other various museums and fun activities we take him to on a regular basis. Chances are that we'll be able to take him to Disney once or twice, and my wife wants to make sure that he will remember it for the rest of his life, since her memories of her first trip to Disney are still special to her.
