hello Jeromy, Thank you very much for replying. I have read many journals on this as well and your answer about personality being a moderator makes sense. However, what if I add in another variable for example "ways of coping" into this study (i.e- work-related stress and burnout amongst healthcare professionals, The moderating role of personality)? would ways of coping be a moderator or mediator? (this is a bit unclear to me given that an individual's personality is more likely to influence his/her coping style.

Thank You very much Jeromy:-) I read, Sackett and Lieven's (2008) yesterday and some other journals as well. I will go through the other journals that you have recommended. In terms of testing in an international context, my interest was on minimizing the dis-advantage local applicants face as a result of language differences (i.e- applicants who are not fluent in English). I went through some of the tests offered by BPS, PFS reasoning and OPP which offer translated versions of the tests into to local languages but they didn't include the country that I am doing my research on. Thank You.

Its a cross-sectional design with survey data. The Personality like I said is derived out of Five independent factors (derived out of factor analysis) and each factor is measured on a likert scale, same goes for the three components of commitment and they are also measured on a likert type scale. The studies I have read upto now uses partial correlations and hierarchical regression to link these contructs but I somehow think there has to be a better way
