How can I create computer based psychology experiments using OS X? I'll link the code from one of my experiments once I add some comments. |

How can consumers obtain an image and analysis of their own brain? Also, be sure to ask (ideally ahead of time) for a copy of the raw anatomical data, not simply a print-out of a few slices. Bring a high-capacity USB stick to store it on. |

What are good examples of applying dynamical systems in cognitive science? Is Busemeyer's work really anything beyond application of decades-old models of perceptual decision making (diffusion, various accumulator models) to more abstract non-perceptual judgements? |

What are different ways to determine centroids of fMRI activation, their drawbacks and perks? @Ruben The reason is that as a discipline, cognitive science is stuck in a "jack of all trades, master of none" approach to training and conduct of research. That is, researchers try to take responsibility for too many roles in research (theoretician, empiricist, statistician, etc) and in doing so cannot provide deep expertise throughout. The superior alternative is to emulate the approach taken in physics and work in teams of specialists, including data analysts with PhDs in statistics who make their career contributing to statistical rigor and innovation. |

Perception of time as a function of age There's definitely a finding that, when asked to produce time intervals, older individuals produce systematically longer intervals than younger individuals. I think there was a BBC documentary that "replicated" this live, but I can't remember its name nor the original reference... |
