Are there shapes defined by 3 (or more) generative parameters whose mapping to psychological similarity space is known? Have you also considered rotation? That would make this much easier and also add a parameter that has well-defined limits (e.g., 0 degrees - 360 degrees). |

What concepts of perception should designers be aware of when designing? Great, glad it's working! |

What concepts of perception should designers be aware of when designing? It was working before. I've changed it to a different link that works again now. |

How long does it take to read X number of characters? Let's give you a reference then! Your "typo" text is actually called "transposed text": see [ White, S. J., Johnson, R. L., Liversedge, S. P., & Rayner, K. (2008). Eye movements when reading transposed text: the importance of word-beginning letters. Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance, 34(5), 1261-1276. ] |

Visual search: complexity of positive vs negative search tasks Ouch, let's not go down the route of parallel/serial search - that debate certainly didn't begin or end with that 1985 paper, and is continuing to this day. The only issue I would raise is that the literature has moved on considerably from then so it may be a bit misleading to point to it as a starter. |
