comment Is attraction between two people just physical, not neurological/psychological?
This sounds like a bit of a premise justification, but there has been some interesting research related to genetic compatibility and sexual attraction, but the reality is we don't yet know enough about how what we feel and what happens in our brains are connected. I supposed it's theoretically possible that there is a direct physical or genetic aspect to what we call "attraction," but any claim of it would simply be a guess.

comment How does human brain pick out the most likely representation of object when an object is ambiguous?
To put it simply, our recognition of things is based on our past experiences. If something looks like something you've used a lot, your brain will likely recognize it as that item. If it's something vague, you will probably have to consciously think about what the item may be.

comment How much overlap should I expect between Medline and PsycINFO?
This is more of a tech/database question about specific programs, not a cognitive sciences question. it should probably be posted elsewhere.

comment Are the incidents of autism spectrum disorder on the rise, or is there an increase due to better definition of diagnostic criteria?
@Ana If you find the article/paper talking about this I would be greatly interested in reading it.

From my understanding of genetics, a father's age does not generally factor into genetic abnormalities because the male gametes are constantly produced. The mother's age is a much more important factor as females are born with their gametes which means the longer they're alive, the more mutagens they're exposed to

comment How effective is court imposed therapy?
Yeah haha. Just to say It doesn't really matter why someone gets into therapy, what matters is their state once they are there.
