It is relevant because we see it often. New "stuff" is created with golden ratio, so we will see it even more, and it will be even more familiar. People accept and "like" familiar things easier than unfamiliar. Perhaps, for very open minded people, effect would not be so strong.

Philosophical, but to consider extreme compassion disorder seems very wrong to me personally. World would be much better if everyone "suffered" from extreme compassion.

Well, you actually changed my mind a bit, your first comment made me feel really good and happy, much more than ordinary upvote :) However, if it was "thanks" oneliner, effect would probably be much much weaker.
