Who, me?
I studied linguistics and a few languages as an undergrad after changing my mind about majoring in graphic design. Now I'm waiting for grad school in Russian to begin. I am an amateur lots of things and I love programming, writing (blogs, songs), painting, information design, photography, writing systems, logic, all kinds of automata, mathematical cognition, gesture, number systems, fractals, symmetry, and cooking. I am a beginning player of Go and am working on my chess skills. I'm an intern at a museum and I make my money with design (graphic ~, web ~, and information ~) and tech help, both freelance and at the office. What else? I'm bipedal, drink coffee, have teeth, am roughly symmetrical, am literate (¡BONUS!: also in Braille), wish I could fly, and passionately interested in cognitive scaffolding. I like tangible objects with pretty pictures on them... you know, stamps and playing cards and stuff. I am learning how to put circuits together to make technological art experiments. It's gonna be fun. My perfect man is some combination of Joseph Brodsky, Carl Sagan, Douglas Hofstadter, and, hey, Ada Lovelace and Frida Khalo, why not?

Lists of abstractions relevant to me:

Human languages I work on (which in no way implies fluency): American Sign Language, Russian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Latin

Programming languages I work on (which also in no way implies fluency and not including formatting languages like HTML): Python, JavaScript
