Obey any command given suddenly, as in the Jumping Frenchmen of Maine Jeff, I may be able to rearrange and mark the conjecture as so, its inclusion is clearly important to the question. |

Obey any command given suddenly, as in the Jumping Frenchmen of Maine Thanks for comments even after such time. Artem Kaznatcheev, I think the 2nd example is part of the same thing, despite the differences. Jeff, where there is so little available, the fictional example does give some information, it is part of researching into it, so is this question as well as other research nearly all of which returned no information. I've covered most of this in the question and don't appreciate threatening votes to close or your assertion either that I have done no research or that it is not a real question. Do characters in a dream have their own separate thoughts or identity? The information hiding\separating\abstracting part of the sandbox analogy could also relate to discovery in dreams, for example of parts of the enviroment that come as a surpise. |

Do characters in a dream have their own separate thoughts or identity? The "sandbox" approach would allow, for example, a character in a dream to be trying to find something out from you, because they don't know the answer, I suspect this sort of thing is possible. |

Do characters in a dream have their own separate thoughts or identity? I'm not after philosophy either :¬P I'm glad I'm no longer being told that I am. |

Does dream recall disturb the processes of memory consolidation? Is the answer that the following night a duplicate entry gets added to long-term memory? |

Does dream recall disturb the processes of memory consolidation? Do you mean "potentially storing it back in short-term memory?" |
