Background: I've noticed that my performance in math class varies on a day-to-day basis, but I also tend to feel artistic on certain days (and enjoy playing songs on my guitar or writing poems). When I have a "math day", I can listen to our teacher and understand everything, and I absolutely love to read articles on mathematics and science. On other days I don't feel an urge to do any of them.

Question

  • What does research say about how motivation and performance varies on supposed left and right brain activities?

Your initial post seemed to be an observation about yourself. And I wasn't quite sure what your question was. I've edited to try to capture this, but feel free to further edit. –  Jeromy Anglim Mar 12 at 22:46
