People cope with death in many varied ways. Some could be considered well adjusted, some, maybe not so.
In this post I am considering the less adjusted type.
Some people never make changes to the rooms and possessions of their deceased loved ones. They remain untouched, as if the loved one is returning.
Other people may remove, all evidence that the person existed. Unable to bear any reminder of the deceased.
Some people will dream that a deceased loved one is still alive for many, many years after the death. Vivid and recurring dreams. When this is coupled with a waking feeling of disbelief that the loved one is really dead (not a mental disbelief, the person knows that the person is dead, it's an emotional acceptance).
What are these dreams symptomatic of and why is it so much harder for some people to accept the death of a loved one? I don't want answers just suggesting the link is with the "degree" of love, as I think that is too trivial and not the answer.
